New rules of getting E-visa to Ukraine

Requirements of E-visa to Ukraine

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has amended the rules on getting visas to Ukraine and abolished the possibility for citizens of certain countries (see the list below) to apply for a visa on arrival. Since 2019 you need to get E-visa before a trip to Ukraine, that is valid for 30 days and is for a single entry only.

The application for E-visa to Ukraine is made through the online application system and it is granted without an actual visit to the consulate. The E-visa itself shall be printed if granted.

Purpose of visit

The list of cases when the E-visa to Ukraine can be issued was extended. It can be issued not only for tourism or business visits but for private visits, health care, journalism, sport or education.

Application for E-Visa to Ukraine shall be filed not earlier than 3 months and not less than 10 business days before the visit to Ukraine and one shall attach the scan copies of the standard documents such as:

1. Passport’s first page;
2. Documents confirming the purpose of your visit (e.g. tourist voucher, hotel and flights booking / private invitation letter / business invitation letter, investment documents / medical documents);
3. Insurance policy with 30,000 EURO coverage;
4. Sufficient funds confirmation (approximately USD 1,600 per 30 days).

Visa fee

At the same time, the E-visa fee was increased up to USD 85. Moreover, obtaining of visa is obligatory for all categories of applicants without any exceptions: children of age less than 6, diplomats, representatives of international organizations, members of an official delegation of the highest officials of states.
